Dr. Christopher Liu is a trusted Pain Physician and Interventional Pain Specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He is currently the Senior Consultant and Medical Director of Alleviate Pain Clinic in Singapore.

 

Dr. Liu completed his specialized medical training at Singapore General Hospital and pursued advanced fellowship training at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. Today, he brings world-class, minimally invasive interventional pain management directly to patients in Singapore. Alongside his clinical practice at Farrer Park Hospital, Dr. Liu maintains active international academic roles—including serving as Pain Section Editor for BJA Education (Royal College of Anaesthetists) and contributing to the American Interventional Headache Society and ASRA Pain Medicine—ensuring his local patients benefit from the latest global standards in pain care.

His expertise includes spine and nerve pain (back/neck pain, sciatica, slipped discs, radiculopathy), musculoskeletal disorders (frozen shoulder, knee osteoarthritis, sports injuries), headache and facial pain (cervicogenic headaches, occipital neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia), and neuropathic or persistent post-surgical pain.
Some types of injection (eg sacroiliac joint injection) can be done as a clinic procedure. However, may procedure related to the spine requires the use of a X-rays. For this reason, these are usually performed on a later date in a day procedure suite.
