Nucleoplasty shrinks the nucleus pulposis (central gel-like portion) of the disc to reduce the mechanical compression of pinched nerves. Annuloplasty on the other hand, helps to reduce pain sensation from the discs from entering in the brain. It can also help with sealing up small tears of the annulus fibrosus (outer fibrous ring) of the disc.


  • Nerve Blocks

These involve injecting anesthetic near specific nerves to block pain signals. They can diagnose the pain source and provide pain relief. For example, in patients with status migrainosus, nerve blocks can help to abort the migraine attacks.


  • Radiofrequency Ablation

This technique uses heat generated by radio waves to disrupt nerve function, offering longer-lasting pain relief for conditions like facet joint arthritis.


  • Spinal Cord Stimulation

A device implanted near the spinal cord delivers electrical pulses to interfere with pain signals, often used for chronic neuropathic pain.


  • Trigger Point Injections

Targeted injections relieve muscle knots or spasms that cause localized pain, commonly used for frozen shoulder or tension headaches.
